Ivan demonstrating the new UL powered Bantam B22 for MICRO AVIATION

This is what is called an "irestie pattern" its what we use in the
aircraft to map out the manurers we will be performing.
this is a pattern from the competition in 1991,

1 - loop
2 - half cuben eight
3 - barrel roll
4 - immilman turn
5 - snap roll
6 - 1 1/2 turn spin
7 - stall turn 1/4 roll up
8 - half square loop
9 - half square loop 1/4 roll down
10 - humpty bump pull 1/2 roll down
11 - 4 point roll
12 - half reverse cuben eight
13 - slow roll up on th 45o
and now the free pattern that is your own to put together and impress
the judges
1 - avalanche
2 - half cuben eight
3 - 2 point roll
4 - stall turn
5 - 4 point roll
6 - half reverse cuben eight
7 - 8 point roll
8 - dairy turn
9 - snar roll
10 - 1 1/2 turn spin
Its quite simple, each basic manouver is given a cymbal, i.e the
loop is a circule, the snap roll is a triangle, and by combinning the 2
(snap roll at the top of a loop) we have an avolanche

KRIPPNERS GARAGE
VILIGRAD WINES
Ivan Krippners flight history
Well i was flying since before i was born ... my mother Christine
Krippner
had her private pilots license (PPL) and was still flying with me up
until
she was 7 months pregnant. As soon as it was practical instead of being
left with baby-sitters i was buckled in the back seat of the Cessna 172
she was hiring from the Waikato aero club, i have been told the only
mistake
they did make was letting me stand on the front seat and steer the
aircraft,
from then on, if i didn't there would be a tantrum. Put simply i knew
the
warming sound of a Lycoming aircraft engine long before i was aware of
anything else.
My father was and still is a licensed PPL with his own Cessna 172
(maintained
to the highest degree) and flying on sundays was a thing i grew up
thinking
that everybody done.
I had always known that i would fly one day, so until the age and funds
allowed it, models would have to fill the gap. And fill the gap they
did,
plastic, balsa, you name it, if had anything to do with flying i would
build it. I even tried to build two hang gliders out of bamboo and
plastic
(needless to say that didn't go to well).
Things started to become more serious in 1988 when i started
winning and continued winning for three years national
competitions
with radio controlled model aircraft ... all for aerobatics ... (with
the
help of my oldest brother Paul Krippner who i was competing against at
the time)
In June 1989 i gained my PPL and soon after an aerobatics raiting to
go with it. Working as a cabinet maker i took out a loan to purchase
the
midget mustang just before my 20th birthday, using the skills i had
learnt
from the models and now an aircraft that could lead the way, it was
only
a mater of time before the mustang and i would be a team worth
watching.
Now im not saying im the best around ... far from it, im just a person
with a mad passion for flying and all things aviation who happens to
own
and fly a very rear and beautiful home built aircraft, right place,
right
time with two wonderful and understanding parents who, even though they
don't always agree with my decisions still support me never the less.
